1/2 cup chopped strawberries frozen okay
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tbsp matcha
1/4 cup hot water
1 cup milk of choice ( whole milk, Oat milk, Almond milk all work well)
OR use 2 tbsp of non-dairy creamer - please dissolve with Matcha Powder and hot water.
Chop and combine the strawberries and sugar in a small pot. Heat x 5 minutes, or until the berries are juicy. Mash them coarsely with a fork, or pulse it in a food processor/blender until the berries are broken down a bit. Then let sit to cool.
If you like the biting on fresh fruit chunks; Cut 2 -3 strawberries into little tiny cubes - small enough to go through the boba straw.
Mix matcha (and non-dairy creamer) with 1/4 cup hot water until smooth.
In a serving glass, add a couple spoonfuls of the strawberries, then fill the rest of the glass with ice. Add 1 cup of cold milk (alternatively, add 1 cup of cold water if you are using non-dairy creamer), then the matcha mixture on top. Make sure to pour gently and slowly if you want to make sure the layers stay distinct.
